A former Summit Hill man faces rape of a child charges for contact that went on with a girl for eight years, arrest papers said.
Christopher Dunn, 58, of Spearfish, South Dakota, was also charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault-less than 13 years old, indecent assault person less than 13; corruption of minors and terroristic threats.
Dunn is locked up in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $250,000 bail following arraignment last Thursday.
According to court papers, the investigation was started by Summit Hill police in 2018 and later adopted by state police.
The girl was 15 years old when she made the disclosure regarding being sexually abused when in the emergency room at the Lehighton hospital in February 2018, arrest papers said.
A forensic interview was conducted in March 2018 at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Scranton. The girl said the abuse ended two years earlier when she was 13 years old, but had begun when she was 4 or 5 years old.
The abuse occurred when her mother was away from home, and included forced touching and other penetration, as well as verbal threats to discourage her from reporting the abuse, court papers said.
The girl also identified a scar on Dunn’s lower body from a piercing, and a search warrant was executed in July 2018 and photographs were taken of Dunn showing the scar, court papers said.
