Mahoning Township supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• Agreed to start negotiating on the police department’s collective bargaining for contract beginning January 2026.

• After a brief executive session, tabled an Unfair Labor Practice agreement about snow removal.

• Tabled the Mahoning Township Historical Society ordinance.

• Motioned to have township solicitor Tom Nanovic draft an ordinance for the Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Department tax credit incentive.

• Agreed to send a letter acknowledging the Celebration of Community event Sept. 13 at Mahoning Valley Fire Company No. 1 and for road closure between Mill Road and Springhouse Road during the event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Agreed to roll over the building and land CD maturity.
