The following actions were taken Monday at the meeting of the Penn Forest Township supervisors.
Purchases approved
• Tires for an F-350 truck for $435.10 from Henise Tire Service to be installed at Penn Forest Garage at a cost up to $515.
• A welding helmet at a cost of $99.99 and gloves for $22.
• A handheld blower with battery for $413.98.
• Ten desks for the municipal office at a total cost of $10,024.50.
• A new microwave for the park concession stand at a cost of up to $150.
• Two 30-inch by 30-inch deer crossing signs for Stony Mountain Road for a total of $276, including installation kit, with the township installing signs.
Contracts awarded
• Pioneer Construction was awarded the drainage improvement contract. The company’s bid was $138,445.
• H & K Group was awarded the road contract. The company’s bid was $670,265.74.
Other business
• Camelot Community’s Summer Camp donation request was denied as no one was present to represent the camp.
• Payment 4 for $18,573.75 was approved for the Transfer Station ramp and retaining wall project.
• Aimee Paparozzi was hired as a part-time administrative assistant at $21.05 per hour.
• A public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4 on proposed amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.
