Chestnuthill Township supervisors conducted the following business this month:

• The bid for sidewalks and curbing at 715 and Bond Lane was awarded to Northeast Site Contractors at a price of $191,718.25.

• For the second time no rebids were received for road materials, including stone and rubberized crack seal. The township can buy what is needed at a less-expensive price from the state’s CoStars cooperative purchasing program.

• The Merwinsburg Hotel park development bid was awarded to Bruce George Paving & Excavating for $294,645.

• The West End Fire Company reported 39 calls for June and 258 calls year-to-date.

• Township secretary Cathy Martinelli will be attending the Pennsylvania Association of Municipal Administrators conference in Bethlehem from Aug. 10-13.

• A banner was approved for the West End Fair.
