A helping hand

Burnley Workshop for special needs adults in Stroudsburg has been busy helping with the Valor House golf tournament. Thirty adults spent days making golf tees for the event. One hundred cases were made, with 300 tees in each case.

Staff member Maria Varney brought three of the adults to Valor House to donate the tees. Varney explained: “Everyone works at Burnley and gets paid. These tees were part of the community volunteer expectation of all clients. They worked hard making the tees.” The tournament was held June 20 at Southmoore Golf Center in Bath, raising funds for health care and shelter for veterans.
