Tamaqua and Jim Thorpe both posted wins Thursday in the Panther Valley Little League 9-10 Tournament.

Towamensing
Tamaqua exploded for nine runs in the fifth inning to pull away from Towamensing for an eventual 12-1 win on Thursday.
Gavin Wagner had two hits and knocked in three runs for the winners, while George Pinkey connected for two triples, scored a run and added an RBI.
Tamaqua also received a pair of hits and two runs from Luke Tuckett, along with two hits, a run and an RBI from Chase Eltringham. Parker Grim chipped in with a hit and three runs. Eltringham also pitched three scoreless innings, striking out four.

Franklin Township
Jim Thorpe raced to an early lead and cruised to a 12-5 victory Thursday over Franklin Township.
Julius Calcano had two extra-base hits — a double and triple — and knocked in three runs to lead the winners, who held a 9-0 advantage after two innings.
Jase Hollenbach added a pair of hits, two runs and an RBI, while Owen Hosier ended with two hits, a run and an RBI. Alex Eckert chipped in with two walks and two runs.
Hollenbach pitched 2 2/3 of hitless and scoreless innings, striking out three.
For FT, Brantley Brungard finished with two hits and two RBIs.

SCHUYLKILL SR TEENER LEAGUE
Tamaqua-Frackville
Frackville used two big innings to gain a 16-5 victory over Tamaqua on Thursday.
The winners, who sit in first place in the Schuylkill Teener League standings, took control with five runs in the fourth inning and put the game away with seven more in the sixth.
Joe Groody finished 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs for Frackville, while Brody Noraka added a pair of hits and two runs.
For Tamaqua, Gavin Shannon collected a hit, a run and an RBI. Gavin Edmonds finished with a hit and two runs.

Tamaqua-Mrs. T’s
Tamaqua rebounded from an early deficit, but couldn’t catch up in dropping a 9-7 decision to Mrs. T’s (Shenandoah) on Wednesday.
Jayden Rex had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs for Tamaqua, which trailed 7-1 at one point. Ryder Holmberg added a single and a double and scored three times. Gavin Shannon also chipped in with two hits and a run.
The winners were led by Haden Kechula, who had two hits, three RBIs and scored two times.

Tamaqua-Pine Grove
Quincy Allen knocked in three runs and scored three times to help Pine Grove gain a 12-4 victory Monday over Tamaqua.
Tamaqua, which led 3-2 until Pine Grove scored five runs in the home third, received a hit, a run and an RBI from Ryder Holmberg. Jeffrey Oakes and Gavin Edmonds both had a hit and an RBI, while Mason Evans and Paxton Carter each finished with a hit and a run.
