State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 50-year-old Germansville man reported a theft that police were called to at 11:02 a.m. June 17 on Blanche Court, Heidelberg Township.

He told police that someone stole his Pennsylvania license plate (XHE2609).

• A 42-year-old Germansville man was targeted in a theft by deception/identity theft incident police were called to at 6:14 p.m. July 5.

The incident occurred on Bittners Court, Heidelberg Township. Police said the man’s identity may have been stolen.

• Police said a 16-year-old Walnutport boy is the victim of a criminal mischief incident they were called to at 4:04 p.m. July 4 at the Target store, Airport Road Center, Hanover Township.

They said it occurred when two boys, a 15-year-old from Whitehall and the 16-year-old from Walnutport, tossed a loaf of bread at another boy in the store as a prank. In retaliation, a 33-year-old man from Allentown grabbed one of the Walnutport boy’s cellphones and broke it.

The man was cited for criminal mischief, while the boys were cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

• Eric Bratton, 48, of Slatington, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 12:20 a.m. June 13.

He was stopped in a Honda Pilot for numerous traffic violations in the 2000 block of Industrial Drive in Bethlehem, after which police said he exhibited signs of impairment.

• Police were called at 8:55 a.m. June 29 to Route 309 in North Whitehall Township to investigate terrorist threats directed toward a 66-year-old woman from Schnecksville.

They were initially dispatched on May 25 for a report of harassing phone calls being received by the woman, and said the messages were broad in interpretation and not specific toward the woman.

Police said they assisted her in blocking the phone number, to which calls started again from anonymous numbers(s). A second dispatch of police was requested on June 26.

Three days later, a follow-up interview was conducted and the woman disclosed having received numerous threatening phone messages containing information specific to her residence, family and personal information.

• A 44-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 7:21 a.m. June 19.

He was stopped in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler on Route 309 in North Whitehall Township.

• Michael Ryan, 36, of Danielsville, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic disturbance at 9:49 p.m. June 18 on Airport Road in Hanover Township.

Police said Ryan engaged in a physical altercation with a 29-year-old woman from Saint Charles, Missouri.

• Police were called to a burglary report at A Children’s Place Daycare, 719 Roble Road, Allentown, at 6:19 a.m. June 17.

They said they were initially called there for a suspicious person report and discovered an unknown individual entered the facility by forcing open a window. A 2011 Toyota Avalon that was in the parking lot was also broken into and had several items removed, police said.

They said the person fled on foot through a wooded area.

Police identified a victim as a 55-year-old woman from Albrightsville.

They said the incident remains isolated and no children and/or employees of the day care were harmed.
