Nesquehoning police are still looking for the wannabe hamburlgars who walked into a McDonald’s in broad daylight and stole the restaurant’s iconic clown.
Police Chief Bradley Hess said Wednesday that they have some leads as to the identities of the people who took Ronald McDonald from the Nesquehoning establishment over the weekend, however the investigation is ongoing.
McDonald’s has also been asking for the public’s help in identifying the culprits, with their electronic sign asking “Where’s Ronald?” and “Have you seen Ronald?” before urging people to call Nesquehoning police.
The plastic statue was located inside the store’s Play Place and has been a fixture at the site for over two decades. Statues like this one are not made like that anymore and was a crown jewel for the owner and employees.
If you know the whereabouts of the Ronald McDonald statue or the identity of the culprits involved, you are asked to contact Nesquehoning police at 570-669-9111.
