Rite Aid announced it will be closing its Lansford location in the latest round of closures by the company who has declared bankruptcy.

In addition to the store and pharmacy at 480 W. Bertsch St. in Lansford, the company said its latest round of 40 stores closing include 129 E. Center St., Ashland, and 1620 Main St., Northampton.

Previously, stores in Brodheadsville, Palmerton, Lehighton, Tamaqua and Walnutport have closed.
