Connor Stilling, 26, of Brodheadsville, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on a number of charges relating to the sexual assault of a minor.
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said he was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Colleen Mancuso and jailed in lieu of $25,000 secured bail.
He is charged with two counts each of aggravated indecent assault of a child and unlawful contact with a minor and one count each of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.
Police said at about 7 a.m. June 26 they were summoned to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, regarding allegations of a sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl the night prior in the area of Frantz Road, Chestnuthill Township. They said Trooper Samantha Doherty responded and learned Stilling engaged in sexual acts with the victim, then filing the charges after consultation with county district attorney’s office.
Police said Stilling reported to the magistrate’s office at about 11:30 a.m. July 2 for his formal arraignment.
