Thursday

Shawnee Mountain: Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and fireworks start at sundown. Cost per car, cash only, to benefit the Shawnee Vol. Fire Co. 36. Music with a DJ, food and dessert trucks, and vendors. Bring your blankets or chairs to enjoy the show from the greenhouse slope and base area. Shawnee Mountain is located at 401 Hollow Road, East Stroudsburg.

Friday

Downtown Lehighton: Hosted by Lehighton Downtown Initiative. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Best viewing area is Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard. Can be seen throughout Lehighton.

Woodstone Country Club: July 4 festivities run from 4-10 p.m. and include food, helicopter rides, hot air balloons, obstacle courses, kids games, a 70 foot slip & slide, zip lining, ax throwing and mechanical bull riding, topped by fireworks. Rain or shine. Buy tickets in advance at a discount or at the gate. Ticket prices do not include food and beverages, helicopter rides, or hot air balloon rides. 3777 Dogwood Road, Danielsville.

Great American Blast at Coca-Cola Park: The IronPigs’ “The Great American Blast” presented by TD Bank begins at 6 p.m. Friday. Fireworks will be shot off from the field of Coca-Cola Park. Guests may be on the field before the show begins before taking their seats in the seating bowl by 8:45 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. Parking is $5 per car and tickets are $8 per person to enter the ballpark; children under 2 are free. Picnic patio basket available for purchase. 1050 IronPigs Way, Allentown.

City of Allentown: The City of Allentown’s free Fourth of July Celebration is at J. Birney Crum Stadium on Friday from 5-10 p.m. The event features live music and entertainment, food and a musical fireworks show. The stadium gates open at 5 p.m. 2027 Linden St., Allentown.

Dorney Park: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, rides, festivities throughout the day, capped by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Active or retired military personnel can get up to six discounted admissions when purchased online. 3830 Dorney Park Road, Allentown.

City of Bethlehem: The City of Bethlehem plans to launch fireworks from Sand Island on July 4 at dusk (around 9 p.m.). The fireworks can be seen all over the city, especially the area surrounding Payrow Plaza on East Church Street (in between city hall and the Bethlehem Public Library) or from various vantage points on SouthSide Bethlehem, like from SteelStacks. Catch the Allentown Band Independence Day Concert at Levitt Pavilion at 5:30 p.m. 56 River St., Bethlehem.

Camelbeach: Independence Day celebration, 7:30-11:30 p.m. Free, with parking fee going to the local fire company. Water slides, relax on the lazy river, live music by Twisted Charm, food and drink, followed by fireworks. Camelbeach has teamed up with the American Cancer Society for its annual Rubber Duck Derby. Pocono Raceway will bring the NASCAR pace car and mascot Tricky the Fox, and Duck Donuts of Bartonsville will host a Donut on a Stick contest at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. The waterpark is located at 301 Resort Drive, Tannersville. Rain date Saturday.

Saturday

West Penn Township: 6-9 p.m. music and food truck vendors, followed by fireworks at JE Morgan Park, 45 Cold Spring Road.

Sunday

Hazleton: Independence Day Celebration at City View Park, 700 S. Poplar St., will be held from 4-11 p.m. More than two dozen food trucks, carnival games and assorted vendors will be on hand. An inclusive playground will also be available for children. Adult beverages will also be served by the Diamond Fire Co. People are invited to bring chairs or blankets to sit in front of the stage, where there will be music, or sit under one of the six covered pavilions. Fireworks will cap off the evening.

Next weekend

Easton Heritage Day: On July 8, 1776, Easton was one of three places where the Declaration of Independence had its first public reading. Easton Heritage Day is celebrated to mark Easton’s historic significance in the founding of the United States. Heritage Day is a free, full-day family festival around Centre Square, Riverside and Scott parks in downtown Easton that showcases local history, offers activities for kids, and concludes with an amazing fireworks display at approximately 9:30 p.m. July 12 on Hackett Park.
