Woman charged with selling heroin
A Franklin Township woman is facing multiple drug charges after police say she sold heroin and other substances.
According to state police, Trooper Salvador Melo responded to a report of someone behaving erratically near Lehigh Canal Park in Weissport on June 11.
The person was found to be under the influence and had a blue glassine bag labeled “CHUCKY.”
They told police they bought the bag for $10 and were also given two Xanax pills by Holly Koch, 50. Based on that information, police obtained a search warrant for Koch’s Canal Street home.
There they found 33 grams of methamphetamine; a blue glassine bag stamped “CHUCKY”; three vials containing a white powderlike substance; 30 blue oval pills labeled “Y20”; orange bottle containing marijuana; 12 white pills labeled “T30”; two white pills labeled “I158”; eight plastic bags containing white powder residue; and seven razor blades containing white powder residue.
They also found four straws containing white powder residue; a white plastic case containing white powder substance; pink paper containing white powder residue; mirror containing white powder residue; bag containing black rubber bands; box of sandwich bags; silicone skull with drug residue.
She had 53 wax bags stamped “DEVILS SON”; 270 wax bags stamped “OUT OF STOCK”; 157 glassine bags; three digital scales with drug residue; brass knuckles; plastic tray containing white powder residue; two metal spoons containing drug residue; and a jar containing drug residue.
At the time of the search, the mirror with drug residue was found in Koch’s bedroom with a white powdery substance spread across it. The suspected drugs were within reach of Koch’s child, who also lives at the residence.
Koch was arrested and admitted to selling heroin to the person in Weissport and others.
She also said she had hidden her phone at another address to interfere with the investigation and confirmed the drugs belonged to her.
Koch is charged with drug distribution, possession, child endangerment, evidence tampering, and related offenses.
She remains in Carbon County Correctional Facility on $200,000 cash bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 2 before District Judge William J. Kissner in Palmerton.
