Dear Editor:

A recent letter praised the budget bill passed by the House and now before the Senate, claiming that it would not raise the national debt.

This is the same bill that the head of DOGE, Elon Musk, characterized as an “abomination” that would raise the national debt by trillions of dollars.

I’m in a dither. Who do I believe, Elon or Donald?
