SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Lehighton will hold its annual Backyard Bash this Friday and Saturday on the parish grounds, Third and Coal streets, Lehighton.

“This is our fifth annual Backyard Bash, and it is a fun and fundraising event for SS. Peter and Paul Parish,” said the Rev. Christopher Zelonis, pastor at Ss Peter & Paul. “Proceeds will help to fund next year’s event, and be available as needed for parish capital improvements and daily operations.”

Volunteers have been busy preparing the food and games for the event. There will be homemade ethnic foods, a cake walk, game wheels, games for children and a gift card raffle. On Saturday, there will be a special raffle for children’s bicycles.

The bash includes live entertainment as well.

Friday’s entertainment features Mr. Moon from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Tootsee and Friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday’s entertainment features 7th And Mahoning from 5 to 7 p.m.; M&J Big Band from 7 to 9 p.m.; and Tootsee and Friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Backyard Bash will be held rain or shine.
