Local Roundup: Results from June 25
Tamaqua’s 10-11 all-stars moved within one win of the District 18 championship with a win over Valley West on Wednesday.
Northern Lehigh’s Senior Connie Mack club also picked up a victory, defeating Moore Township.

Tamaqua-Valley West
Abram Graver and Grayson Smith combined to throw a no-hitter to lead Tamaqua into the District 18 10-11 tournament championship round.
Graver pitched the first 3 1/3 innings and allowed two unearned runs while striking out six. Smith tossed the final 2 2/3 frames, fanning one in Tamaqua’s 4-2 victory over Valley West.
The winners will play for a district title on Sunday against the victor of Hazle Township and Valley West. If Tamaqua loses, it will have another chance to claim the crown on Monday.
Smith also came up with the game’s biggest hit, snapping a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the top of the sixth inning. Layton Laybourn walked and Graver singled to put two runners on base in the decisive frame. Smith delivered his key hit up the middle that plated both runners to give his team the lead.
Smith finished with two hits.

Moore Township-
Northern Lehigh
Paul Porobenski earned the pitching win and also delivered a key hit to help Northern Lehigh gain a 4-1 victory over Moore Township.
Porobenski tossed the first three innings, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out four. He also got his team off to a good start, connecting for a two-run single in the bottom of the first.
Three Northern Lehigh relievers — Colton Becker, Pablo Rivera and Avery Kabrick — pitched hitless ball the rest of the way and combined with Porobenski to strike out 12.
Rivera finished with two hits and an RBI for the winners, while Jayden Christman contributed a hit and knocked in a run. Nolehi also received a hit and a run from Beckett Fox.

Schuylkill Valley exploded for nine runs in the second inning and cruised to a 16-2 victory over LGH Tax & Acct. (Lansford).
The winners improved to 4-0 and are tied for first in the league.
Lansford received a hit and a run from Carson Jones, while Peter Kruslicky walked twice and scored a run.
