Robert Hollenbach, 107A W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, received the Elk of the Year award at the 10th Annual Dinner for the Elk of the Year held at the Tamaqua Lodge No. 592.

Hollenbach received a certificate from the Grand Lodge of the Elks from Dennis Krell, a past exalted ruler, in recognition of his loyal services to the local lodge. Krell made the presentation in the absence of exalted ruler David Frederickson.

Kenneth Brown, a recipient of the award for the 1970-71 year, presented Hollenbach a plaque from the local lodge.

George Dunstan, a past recipient, was the toastmaster.

Hollenbach has long been active in the lodge, which he headed as exalted ruler in 1961-62.
