Mrs. Marie Kutza was elected chairperson of Coaldale’s 1976 Bicentennial Celebration committee during a meeting held on the Ridge Terrace Community Room. Approximately 25 persons were in attendance.

Others who were elected are Robert Ames, Robert Snedden and James Guildea, vice chairmen; Susan Bortnick, secretary; and Steve Radocha, treasurer.

Addressing the group was Clarence Hess, executive director of the Schuylkill County Tourist Promotion Agency and Bicentannial coordinator, and Mrs. Lucille J. Hess of the Schuylkill County Beautification Program.
