State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police are investigating the theft of a Stihl KM 94R weed whacker from a residence on Bull Run Street in Coaldale.
The victim, a 22-year-old man from Coaldale, reported the theft at 2:42 a.m. June 18.
The weed whacker is valued at $429.99, police said.
• Police said a black wallet with a gold zipper was found on the Morea Road, Mahanoy Township, at 6 a.m. June 9.
The owner can claim it by calling the barracks at 570-874-5300 and identifying the wallet.
• A 55-year-old Macungie woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made contact with her at 9:59 p.m. June 8 at the intersection of Route 54 and Barnesville Drive in Rush Township.
Police said the woman, a disabled motorist in a 2016 Jeep Compass, exhibited signs of impairment.
• A 42-year-old Tamaqua woman is the victim of a burglary that occurred between 8:06 a.m. and 5:08 p.m. June 15 on Lehigh Street in Schuylkill Township.
Police said someone entered her property and an unlocked shed and stole a Coleman camp stove, Coleman heater, muck boots and a rain jacket, and remained on the property for about eight hours before fleeing on foot.
The items have a collective value of $300, police said.
• Jason DeMarco, 49, of Coaldale, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic-related incident at 4:46 p.m. June 17 on West Earley Avenue in Coaldale.
Police said a 40-year-old woman from Coaldale told them the two were involved in an argument that escalated when DeMarco shoved her and fled the scene.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident on East Earley Avenue in Coaldale at 7:28 a.m. June 19.
A 27-year-old woman from Coaldale told police someone entered her unlocked 1997 Volkswagen Jetta and damaged its ignition.
• A 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Barnesville, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic altercation at 6:18 p.m. June 9 on the Vulcan Road, Mahanoy Township.
Police said each person subjected the other to physical contact.
• Police were called at 4:27 p.m. June 16 to investigate the theft of security cameras in Coaldale.
A 65-year-old woman from Coaldale told police the cameras, valued at $50, were stolen from outside her residence on Fisher Avenue.
• Police said a 69-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman from Pleasant Valley Road in East Brunswick Township fell prey to a gift card scam.
They told police that $66,000 was stolen from them between Jan. 26 and March 13.
