A 45-year-old Kunkletown man is facing drug possession charges following an incident at 10:45 a.m. June 3 at Shafter and Blaine streets in East Bangor Borough, state police at the Belfast barracks said.

Police said they made contact with the man, at which time it was learned a warrant for his arrest was outstanding. Police said when they told the man he had to be handcuffed, he began to leave the scene.

A short foot chase took place until the man was taken into custody, police said.

They said upon searching his belongings, it was determined that he was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
