State police at Fogelsville

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a retail theft (shoplifting) incident at the Cornerstone Consulting Co., 6806 Route 309, Lynn Township.

They said that between 8:35 p.m. on June 10 and 6:30 a.m. on June 11 someone stole flowers valued at $500 from the business.

Whoever stole the flowers possibly used a beige SUV to flee the scene, police said.

• A 54-year-old man from Orefield was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to an inactive domestic incident at 11:24 p.m. on June 7 at a property on Ryan Court, Lowhill Township.

They said a 64-year-old woman from Wilmington, North Carolina, reported her son-in-law pushed her against a wall and struck her before leaving the premises.

• A 43-year-old man from Jim Thorpe is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 2:50 a.m. on May 18.

He was stopped in a 2021 Honda on Route 22 in Whitehall Township.

• Police are investigating a “bad check” report they received at 9:42 a.m. on May 16.

The victim is PA Lawn and Landscape, Orefield.

Police said it was reported that multiple checks were altered and submitted to the company’s bank.

• A 30-year-old New Tripoli man was targeted in a blackmail/extortion incident that was reported to police.

They said that on May 28 someone observed as the man engaged in consensual sexual activity while online, during which time the suspect recorded the activity and then threatened to share the recording.

Police said the man then deleted and blocked the actor prior to additional communications being shared.
