No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash at 8:25 p.m. on May 25 on Berwick Street in Banks Township, state police at the Hazleton barracks said.

Police said the crash occurred when Smarlyn Corniel De Contreras, 28, of Lansford, was driving a 2023 Hyundai Sonata that struck the rear of a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Tristan C. Pozza, 18, of Beaver Meadows, who was stopped while waiting to turn into a driveway.

After the initial impact, a 2022 Honda Pilot operated by Jose Contreras Rodriguez, 31, also of Lansford, struck the rear of the Sonata, police said. The latter vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

They said De Contreras and Rodriguez were cited for following too closely.
