Carbon County sentencings
The following actions were taken in Carbon County Court on May 29 in front of Judge Joseph Matika:
• Devon Keomanivanh II, 29, of Philadelphia, was sentenced on a charge of DUI of a controlled substance. He must serve no less than 72 hours or more than 6 months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Keomanivanh also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Adam Rafferty, 20, of Ringoes, New Jersey, was charged with DUI-incapable of driving safely. He must serve no less than 72 hours or more than 6 months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Rafferty also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and complete 25 hours of community service. Rafferty also was charged with recklessly endangering another person and ordered to pay restitution of $146,181.04 and complete 50 hours of community service.
• John Lawrence Stefanick, 63, of Summit Hill, was charged with DUI-incapable of driving safely. He was placed on probation for 6 months. Stefanick also was ordered to pay a fine of $300 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Gilbert Torres, 45, of Lexington, South Carolina, was charged with DUI of a controlled substance. He must serve no less than 72 hours or more than 6 months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Torres also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program and 25 hours of community service.
• Prince Shamel Vereen, 35, of Lansford, was charged with carrying a firearm without a license. He must serve no less than 10 months or more than 36 months in a state correctional facility. Vereen also must complete 100 hours of community service. Vereen also was charged with DUI of a controlled substance and driving while his blood alcohol content was 0.02% or greater. He must serve no less than 90 days or more than 60 months in a state correctional facility. He also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,500 and complete 100 hours of community service.
• Aaron Douglas Wargo, 32, of Palmerton, was charged with DUI-incapable of driving safely. He was placed on probation for 6 months. Wargo also was ordered to pay a fine of $300 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Jaclyn Bennett, 44, of Lehighton, was charged with DUI of a controlled substance. She must serve no less than 72 hours or more than 6 months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Bennett also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Matthew Drake Graham, 43, of Lehighton, was charged with being in possession of a controlled substance. He was placed on probation for 1 year. Graham also was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations, and complete 50 hours of community service. Graham also was sentenced and charged with driving at safe speed. He was ordered to pay a fine of $25.
• Jacob Kratzer, 40, of Ashfield, was charged with DUI-incapable of driving safely. He was placed on probation for 6 months. Kratzer also was ordered to pay a fine of $300 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Michael Anthony Brogan, 41, of Summit Hill, was charged with DUI of a controlled substance. He must serve no less than 72 hours or more than 6 months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Brogan also was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and complete 25 hours of community service.
• Eric Deshield, 30, of Lumberton, New Jersey, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. He also was ordered to successfully complete an outpatient program and complete 50 hours of community service.
• Christina Green, 37, of Lansford, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for 1 year. She also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
• Chloe Miller, 25, of Summit Hill, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. She also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
• Tiffany Reis, 30, of Lehighton, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. She also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
• Miguel Rosado, 55, of Lehighton, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. He also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
• Egan Bellesfield, 22, of Palmerton, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. He also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
• Michael Haniman, 46, of Philadelphia, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. He also was ordered to complete 25 hours of community service.
• Stephanie Kunkle, 32, of Lehighton, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for 1 year. She also was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
