Local Roundup: Results from June 11

Franklin Township and Northern Lehigh both picked up wins in recent Lehigh Valley Connie Mack action, with the Bulldogs powering past Salisbury in the senior division, and Franklin Township continuing its strong start in junior play with a narrow win over Stroudsburg.

Salisbury–Northern Lehigh

Pablo Rivera drove in four runs to help lead Northern Lehigh to an 11-6 victory over visiting Salisbury.

Rivera, Northern Lehigh’s No. 5 hitter, delivered two singles, a triple, three runs scored and four RBIs.

Jayden Christman added two singles and a run scored, Braedon Doughtry had two singles, a run and an RBI, and Drew Mohrey chipped in with two hits and two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Chase Llewellyn’s three-hit game wasn’t enough as Hellertown held on for an 8-7 win over Franklin Township.

Llewellyn went 3-for-4 with two singles, a double, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Logan Bellis contributed two doubles and two RBIs for Franklin Township.

Hellertown’s Brady Flores was a perfect 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and two runs scored.

Franklin Township continued its winning ways with a 5-4 victory over Stroudsburg in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action.

Jake Albert and Brock Atwood both reached base via walks and came around to score on an error following Carter Spotts’ pop fly in the first inning for an early 2-0 lead.

In the third, Franklin Township added three more runs. Korbin Ahner delivered a two-run single, and Spotts — who was hit by a pitch — scored on a throwing error.
