State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 49-year-old Saylorsburg woman was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to Meixsell Valley Road, Ross Township, at 11:34 p.m. May 2.

The victim is a 53-year-old man from Saylorsburg, police said.

• Police arrested a 36-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, and a 42-year-old woman from Hazleton on charges of sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

They were stopped in a 2004 Chevrolet Express at 1:35 a.m. May 16 on Route 248 in Palmerton Borough.

• A 20-year-old man from Cranford, New Jersey, and a 23-year-old man from Montclair, New Jersey, were charged with defiant criminal trespass after police were called to the Bethlehem Water Authority property in Penn Forest Township at 2:08 a.m. May 18.

Police said they climbed over a fence to access the property.

• A 19-year-old Easton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 7:57 p.m. May 23.

He was stopped in a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze for Title 75 violations on Lehigh Drive in East Penn Township.

• A 44-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. May 23.

He was stopped in a 2021 Hyundai for multiple Title 75 violations on Franklin Avenue in Palmerton.

• A 59-year-old Shenandoah man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 12:55 p.m. May 25.

He was stopped in a 2015 Dodge Stratus on Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 490 Ore St., Bowmanstown, at noon May 31.

They said the victim is the Bowmanstown Borough Authority.

Police said new signs were placed on a road and one of them was removed. It was recovered about 5 feet from where it had been installed.

• A 28-year-old Weissport woman was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to White Street, Weissport, at 3:27 p.m. May 26.

Police said a 52-year-old man from Weissport reported the woman had pushed him during an altercation.

• A 26-year-old Bethlehem man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

He was stopped in a Volkswagen Jetta at 1:01 a.m. June 1 on Delaware Avenue in Palmerton.

• A 21-year-old Kunkletown woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controller substance.

Police said she was stopped in a 2015 Jeep Patriot at 2:27 a.m. June 1 for multiple Title 75 violations on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

• Police arrested a 40-year-old man from Crosby, Texas, on charges of terroristic threats after they were called to Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.

They said between 9:10 p.m. June 2 and 12:24 p.m. June 3, the man sent threatening messages to the Facebook account of a 30-year-old woman from Kresgeville.

• A 38-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 6:50 a.m. June 3.

He was stopped in a 2007 Mazda6 at 1370 Kunkletown Road, Ross Township.

• A 32-year-old Kunkletown woman was cited for harassment by communications after police were called to an incident on Chestnut Drive South, Ross Township.

Police said a 60-year-old man from Saylorsburg reported the woman sent persistent and repeated text messages to him that were derogatory, insulting and vulgar.

• Jeannette Armstrong, 76, of Effort, was cited for false alarms/dialing devices after police were called to 641 Long Mountain Road, Polk Township.

The incident occurred at 11:01 a.m. June 4.

• A 19-year-old Slatington man was cited for harassment after police responded to a domestic disturbance in progress at 11:02 a.m. June 5 on Deer Park Lane, Penn Forest Township.

An 18-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe was assaulted by the man, who was taken into custody and arraigned, police said.
