Local Roundup: Results from June 9
It was a rough night for area baseball teams, as four squads suffered losses on Monday.
Included in those was a no-hitter suffered by Northern Valley’s Lehigh Valley Legion club.
LV LEGION
Northern Vy.-S. Parkland
Carter Delong and Carter Wanamaker combined to pitch a no-hitter, as South Parkland blanked Northern Valley 6-0.
Delong, who went four and two-thirds innings to get the win, recorded five strikeouts and allowed four walks. Wanamaker pitched two and a third innings of relief and fanned three.
Will Dobil was the game’s only multiple hitter, ending with two singles, a run scored and an RBI. The winners also received a hit, a run and two RBIs from Connor Gerhart.
Connor Simms, Coy Daubert, Max George and Nick Buskirk all reached base for the Chargers via walks.

Franklin Township-FBTAA
Franklin Township received 10 walks but couldn’t take full advantage, eventually dropping a 5-2 decision to Freemansburg.
One of those walks — to Chase Llewellyn — came with the bases loaded and scored a run for Franklin. Llewellyn finished with two hits, one a triple, two walks and both RBIs, while Brayden Ulshafer added a hit and a run.
Luke Haydt reached base three times on three walks, while Ulshafer, Braylon Hunsicker and Pierce Goida all reached base twice via free passes.
The winners took control early with three first-inning runs. Josh Volkert paced Freemansburg with a pair of hits and two runs.

Northern Lehigh-Hellertown
A nine-run bottom of the fourth inning doomed Northern Lehigh, as Hellertown earned a 15-7 victory.
The locals answered with a four-run fifth, but couldn’t complete the comeback attempt.
Jayden Christman, Cole Mohrey and Kellen Brinich all scored in the fifth on bases-loaded walks, while Pablo Rivera scored the fourth run by stealing home.
Mohrey had a hit and two runs for Northern Lehigh, while Beckett Fox picked up two walks, a single, a run scored and an RBI. Rivera ended with two walks, two runs scored and an RBI.
The winners received two hits and four RBIs from Brady Flores. Landon Huber contributed a pair of hits and three runs.

Coplay-Northern Vy.
Coplay jumped out to an early lead and cruised to an 8-1 win over visiting Northern Valley.
A Gabriel Glass RBI double and a Carter Renninger RBI single keyed a five-run first inning for the winners. Shane Attieh chipped in with a fielder’s choice RBI.
Maison Mourani pitched five innings, allowing just two hits and a run while striking out seven to earn the win.
Benjamin Storch finished with a pair of hits for the Chargers, while Nathan Kinney added a hit and a run.
