State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 8:25 a.m. May 9 at mile marker 81.8 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said the crash occurred when a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Thomas J. Amico, 44, of Dallas, lost traction and drifted into a 2021 Jaguar operated by Lisa A. Wolk, 59, of Drums.
Police said both vehicles came to rest along the western shoulder of the road.
• David J. West, 34, of Hanover Township, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash inside the southbound Lehigh Tunnel in East Penn Township. No one was hurt in the incident.
Police said the crash occurred when West was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox that struck the back of a 2024 Mazda operated by Francis J. Shinners, 63, on Conshohocken, while traffic in the tunnel was heavily congested.
Police said both vehicles had to be removed from the tunnel.
The Equinox was inoperable and was towed, while the Mazda had moderate rear-end damage but could be driven.
