State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Wendy’s, 4896 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, was cited for false alarms/dialing devices after police were called there at 8:32 a.m. May 27 when the restaurant’s burglar alarm went off.

Police said it was the fourth time in 12 months they were called there for similar incidents.

• An 18-year-old Long Pond man is facing forgery/counterfeiting charges after police were called to the First Northern Bank in Bath at 12:25 p.m. May 1.

Police said it is alleged he forged and cashed a U.S. Treasury tax refund check.

• A 47-year-old Slatington woman was committed to the Lehigh County Correctional Facility, Allentown, on terroristic threats charges after police were called to a property on Pfeiffer Circle, Heidelberg Township, at 12:53 p.m. May 28.

Police said a 48-year-old Germansville man told them the woman was back at his residence after having trespassed earlier in the day. He said the woman smashed a screen door with a flower pot and struck the car of the man’s sister with a cane, threatening to kill the man.

Damage to the door and flower pot was estimated at $550, police said.

• Kyle Hummel, 33, of Slatington, was arrested for violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police were called to a property on Mountain Road, Heidelberg Township, at 11:50 p.m. May 31.

The victim is a 30-year-old woman from Germansville, who is protected by the court order.

• A 48-year-old Northampton man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to Route 873 in Washington Township at 12:20 p.m. May 11.

Police said a 17-year-old boy from Walnutport told them the man put him in a headlock after thinking the boy was stealing his wife’s purse.

• Christina Arana, 46, of Albrightsville, was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Target Store on Airport Center Drive, Hanover Township, at 11:56 a.m. June 2.

Police said it is alleged she tried to steal books, a shirt and a dress, with a total value of more than $94.

• A 33-year-old Slatington man was cited for harassment by communications after police were called to Mountain Road, Heidelberg Township, at 1:43 a.m. June 1.

Police said the victims are two women, ages 30 and 57, and a 57-year-old man, all from Germansville.

Police said they were called there for a Protection From Abuse violation and determined the man contacted one of the people more than 30 times via phone calls and was walking around the residence at night.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Lehigh County Correctional Facility, Allentown.

• Police are investigating a retail theft (shoplifting) incident that was reported to them at 5:28 p.m. May 28 by Weis Market, Route 873, North Whitehall Township.

They said a presumed mother and daughter duo, over the past month, purposefully “under rang” and did not scan numerous items worth a combined $374.98.
