Darian S. Stripe, 27, of Tamaqua, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash, state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said.

The crash occurred at 3:01 p.m. April 25 on Route 61 in Port Clinton.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram truck southbound when it hit a concrete barrier, slid down the barrier and became stuck between barriers while partially hanging off a bridge.

Police said he exited the vehicle and jumped into the Schuylkill River, floated downstream and was removed from the waters by first responders.

Stripe was transported by personnel from the Hamburg EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Police said the pickup had disabling damage.
