Lansford Alive hosts First Friday specials

Lansford Alive is working with borough businesses to bring back First Fridays for the summer of 2025, its president said.

Friday is the first event of the summer season with businesses and organizations highlighting what they have to offer and offering specials and discounts to bring visitors into the borough, Chris Ondrus said.

“We are excited to have businesses take part in this endeavor to help promote the town and offer specials and discounts,” he said.

Participating businesses will be also be promoted on Lansford Alive’s Facebook page, and through the Carbon Chamber and the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau.

Lansford Alive began the promotion years ago as a way to help promote businesses and get visitors to come to town once a month through the summer, Ondrus said.

Participating businesses and organizations include: The No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum, 9 Dock St.; The 80s Bar, 634 E. Patterson St., Northeast Chemical and Supply, 800 E. Bertsch St.; Cabrera’s Restaurant, 161 W. Ridge St.; Thankful Thrift, 24 W. Ridge St.; Marco’s Pizza, 10 W. Ridge St.; Cancer Telethon Office, 33 W. Ridge St.; Coal Cracken Café, 22 W. Ridge St.; Ole Bull Saloon, 533 E. Patterson St. and Community Bank, 12 W. Ridge St.
