June 4, 1993 — After months of meeting and deliberations, the Centennial League finally votes to move ahead with a proposal that would combine its league with the Colonial League. At the meeting, held at Pocono Mountain High School, six of the nine Centennial schools vote “yes” to move to realignment. The other three schools abstain with the expectation of a “yes” vote at a later date. “It was a very positive meeting,” said Northwestern principal Dennis Nemes. “We feel this move will benefit the schools and all the student athletes.” The implementation of a new schedule and league is tentatively set for September of 1995.
