Local Roundup: Results from June 3
Franklin Township and Northern Valley both picked up wins in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action on Tuesday.

Palmerton-Franklin Twp.
Franklin Township used an eight-run first inning to help gain an 11-6 victory over Palmerton.
Aidan McCarroll paced FT’s offense with two singles and three RBIs, while Brock Atwood added a single, a double, a walk and three runs.
Jaxson Markell (two singles, run, two RBIs, walk), Carter Spotts (two singles, run, RBI) and Alex Kish (two singles, run scored, RBI) all had multiple hits for the winners.
Jayden Rivera led the way for the Bombers with a single, two runs, a walk and an RBI.

Northwest-Northern Valley
Northern Valley exploded for 13 runs in the first inning and cruised to a 19-4 victory over Northwest.
The Chargers ended a three-game skid by collecting nine hits and eight walks in the opening frame.
Benjamin Storch had two RBI singles in the first, and added another RBI later in the game.
Also in the first, Mason Malosh delivered a two-run double and Evan Miller had a two-run single.
Jax Resto and Tanner Fronina added run-scoring hits in the decisive inning.

Moore Twp.-Jim Thorpe
Moore Township scored in only one inning, but made it count, in earning a 10-8 victory over Jim Thorpe.
The Olympians took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first thanks to a Kade Levan RBI double and a two-run double off the bat of Lucas Knopf.
After the visitors scored 10 runs in the third, a Marshall Domski RBI single and a crucial error by Moore Township helped Thorpe pull within 10-7.
Domski led the way for JT, finishing 3-for-3 with three singles, three runs and an RBI.
Levan (two doubles, two runs, two RBIs) and Dominic Calcano (two singles, walk, run) both chipped in with multiple hits.

Northampton-Franklin Twp.
A seven-run sixth inning helped Northampton pull away for a 13-3 victory over Franklin Township.
Benjamin Swain and Shiloh Dritt paced Northampton’s offensive, as both collected two singles and two RBIs. Tyler Rutzmoser also chipped in with a pair of singles.
Chase Llewellyn accounted for two of Franklin Township’s three hits. Llewellyn singled in the first inning, and then doubled in the sixth, eventually scoring on a Northampton error.
Brady Stubits had FT’s other hit with a single in the sixth.

Northwestern Lehigh graduate Nate Kester connected for a two-run homer to help Martins Creek gain a 7-5 victory over Berlinsville.
Kester’s blast came in the fourth inning as the Creekers extended their lead to 7-3 at the time.
Jon Fleck, Charlie Barebo and Brandon Smith each had two hits for the winners.
Berlinsville received two hits — one a three-run homer — from Zach Day, while Tyee Irving chipped in with a hit and two RBIs.
