A Saylorsburg man died Monday after the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer in Moore Township, Northampton County.

The Lehigh County Coroner said Charles S. Eppinger, 65, of Saylorsburg, died at 3:43 p.m. at Lehigh Valley-Muhlenberg Hospital.

The crash happened at 2:42 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Mountain View Drive. Eppinger was wearing a helmet, the coroner said.

The incident is being investigated by the coroner and Moore Township police.
