Franklin Township posted a win in Connie Mack action Monday, while Berlinsville did the same in Blue Mountain League play.

Franklin Township held off a late Northern Lehigh rally to gain an 8-7 victory.

The winners built a 3-1 lead in the third inning behind an RBI single by Logan Bellis and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Grant Birnbaum.

After Nolehi battled back to tie the game in the fourth on bases-loaded walks to Hayden Lilly and Jayden Christman, Franklin regained the advantage with three runs in the home half. Aiden McCarroll’s fielder’s choice scored one run, while RBI singles by Brayden Ulshafer and Chase Llewellyn accounted for the other runs.

Trailing 8-4 in the seventh, Northern Lehigh cut the deficit to one run thanks in part to Braedon Dougherty’s run-scoring double and an RBI single from Beckett Fox, but FT pitcher Brady Stubits got a strikeout to end the game.

Llewellyn finished with two hits, two walks, two runs and two RBIs for the winners, while Braylon Hunsicker added a pair of hits.

Avery Kabrick paced Northern Lehigh, going 3-for-4.

Three Berlinsville pitchers combined on a one-hitter as the Braves blanked the Northampton Giants, 9-0.

Starter Aaron Clark went the first five innings, allowing the one hit while striking out seven. Garrett Horvath mastered the sixth, while Palmerton graduate Luke Netznik finished things off with a hitless seventh.

Former Blue Bomber Cole Serfass contributed a double, walk, run and stolen bases for the winners. Ryan Sekulski added a pair of hits, two runs and an RBI, while Shane Fillman collected a double and two RBIs.
