Local Roundup: Results from June 1
Jim Thorpe and Franklin Township both posted wins in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack action on Sunday.

Williams Black Sox-Jim Thorpe
Kade Levan and Dominic Calcano both had big days at the plate Sunday to help Jim Thorpe gain a 13-3 victory over the Williams Black Sox.
Levan finished 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI, while Calcano finished with two hits, two runs and three RBIs.
The winners, who also received three walks and three runs from Marshall Domski, jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings and used a six-run sixth to end the game.
Lucas Knopf added a hit, two runs and three stolen bases to the Thorpe cause, and Blake Skrimcovsky collected a hit, a run, an RBI and three stolen bases.
Domski earned the win, allowing two hits and a run over four innings. He walked three and struck out six.

Northern Valley
Korbin Ahner and Jake Albert combined on a four-hit shutout as Franklin Township gained a 5-0 victory Sunday over Northern Valley.
Ahner tossed the first five frames, giving up the four hits and two walks while striking out four. Albert pitched two hitless frames, walking one and fanning one.
Franklin received two hits, a run and an RBI from Jaxson Markell, while Owen Moyer added a pair of hits and knocked in a run. Albert and Brock Atwood both chipped in with a hit and a run.
For the Chargers, Tanner Fronina finished with two hits. Fronina also suffered the loss despite striking out nine in a complete-game effort.

Palmerton
Palmerton was held to just four hits in suffering an 11-1 loss to Panthers Red on Sunday.
Bo Magargal finished 4-for-4 for the winners, while Marc Farro finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI. Blake Riggins added a hit and three runs to the Panthers Red cause.
For Palmerton, Robbie George had a hit and an RBI. Others collecting hits were Xavier Ahner, Landon Eckhart and Brody Mertz.

Mason Evans and Paxton Carter combined on a four-inning no-hitter as Hope’s Collision (Tamaqua) posted a 15-0 victory Sunday over Hegins Red.
Evans tossed the first two innings, striking out two, while Carter pitched the last two frames and fanned three.
Carter also helped out at the plate, collecting a triple and driving in three runs.
The winners also received two hits and two runs from Chayse Smith, while Gavin Shannon and Jayden Rex both added a hit and three runs.
