Turnpike incidents

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Tiffany Witherspoon, 37, of Philadelphia, was cited for theft of services and false reports after an incident at 12:39 p.m. May 16 at mile marker 67.4 in Washington Township.

Police said she was stopped in a 2012 Acura for an expired registration on the vehicle, after which it was determined that she was in possession of fictitious documents, including a fraudulent registration card and false insurance card.

Police said victims in the incident are Hernandez Auto Tags, Philadelphia; Farmer’s Auto Insurance, Woodland Hills, California; Bill’s Southern Auto Service, Folsom; Emory Transmissions and PennDOT, both of Harrisburg.

• Brandon Young, 33, of Effort, was cited for theft of services after police made a traffic stop at 9:40 a.m. May 26 at mile marker 66.1 in Washington Township.

Police said he was driving a 2008 Ford E350 southbound when he was stopped for a registration violation, after which it was determined the license plate on the vehicle was fraudulent.

• A 19-year-old Philadelphia woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 7:34 p.m. May 26.

She was stopped in a 2010 Cadillac for multiple traffic violations at mile marker 97.7 in Kidder Township.
