Palmerton gained a victory over Northern Valley in Lehigh Valley Junior Connie Mack League action on Thursday.

Franklin Township

A seventh-inning rally came up just short as Franklin Township dropped a 6-4 decision to North Parkland.

Franklin couldn’t generate any scoring until its final at-bat when it plated four runs and had the tying runs on base. The winners, however, got a strikeout to end the game.

Brayden Ulshafer paced FT by going 3-for-4. Ulshafer added a run and an RBI.

Chase Llewellyn reached base four times with two hits and two walks, while Grant Birnbaum added two hits and two RBIs. Franklin starting pitcher tossed five innings, allowing just one hit and one run while striking out eight.

Palmerton scored in five straight innings en route to a 9-6 victory over Northern Valley.

Hunter Vasquez finished 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI, while Robbie George collected two hits and scored a pair of runs.

George also earned the win, going the distance. He allowed just one earned run and one walk, striking out three.

Brody Mertz added a hit and two RBIs, and Brady Ivancich contributed a hit and two runs.

For the Chargers, Benjamin Storch ended with two hits, two runs and an RBI. Cameron Petrucelli chipped in with a pair of hits and a run.

Nazareth used a seven-run inning to help gain an 8-6 victory over Franklin Township.

Troy Biedermann had three hits and scored two runs to lead the winners.

For Franklin, which rallied from an 8-0 deficit but came up just short, Brock Atwood collected three hits and knocked in two runs. Korbin Ahner added a double and two RBIs, while Jake Albert ended with a hit, a run and an RBI.

Owen Moyer and Roman White each chipped in with a hit and run for FT.
