Alvernia University graduates

Alvernia University celebrated more than 550 students in the Class of 2025 at the Santander Arena in Reading on May 10, including:

Barnesville: Madison Denchy earned a Master of Science in occupational therapy degree and Bachelor of Science in health science; and Amanda Wychunas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

Danielsville: Gabrielle Sommer earned a Master of Business Administration degree in community service and economic leadership.

Lehighton: Lily McDonough earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry.

McAdoo: Christina Walko earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Orwigsburg: Sophia Cairnie earned an Associate of Science degree in applied health; Morgan Krumanocker earned a Master of Education degree in special education; Elissa Vasquez earned a Master of Social Work degree; and Myah Wehry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

Walnutport: Lauren Dorney earned a Master of Business Administration degree in community service and economic leadership.

The ceremony, which featured a speech from Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, included Alvernia’s first graduating class of the John R. Post School of Engineering.

Alvernia University is a Catholic comprehensive university with a liberal arts foundation founded by the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters in 1958. The university serves over 3,000 students in Reading, Pottsville and Philadelphia.
