Peter Carlisimo, director of athletics at Scranton University and noted dinner speaker, addressed 700 members of the Holy Name societies of Carbon and Schuylkill counties who attended last night’s seventh annual dinner in the Lakewood Ballroom.

Carlisimo spoke on Catholic action and cooperation between various religions on a basis in which they can cooperate.

He also cited several examples of what can be done in promoting Catholic action and referred to literature and films as a means of promoting the aims of the Holy Name.

Fred W. Manning, Lehighton, and Atty. Charles Frank, Pine Grove, presidents of the Carbon and Schuylkill societies, respectively, presided at the event.
