May 28, 2015 — Reese Dugan works her way out of a number of jams to pitch Palmerton to a 3-1 victory in the District 11 Class 2A championship game. Dugan, who scatters nine hits and finishes with 121 pitches, allows just one run despite facing three bases-loaded situations. The Blue Bombers, coached by Bob Hock, break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning. With two outs, Janel Tracy and Lauren Campbell both single, move up a base on a passed ball and score on an error. Dugan, who strikes out five, gets out of a seventh-inning jam — runners on second and third — to secure the win and the district title. The winners also receive a triple and run scored from Darion Jacoby. Tracy ends with two hits.
