N. Lehigh business has mulch to offer
Northern Lehigh communities have a growing business to buy landscaping supplies from.
Papay Property Maintenance celebrated the grand opening of its new location this month. The new establishment is located at 3466 East Grant St. in Slatington and boasts a family oriented space to purchase essentials such as mulch, soil, flowers, and decorative rocks, to name a few.
The grand opening event was a success and offered a free flower potting station for kids, coffee and doughnuts (supplied by Baker Ben’s Bakery in Walnutport), and a raffle for a Yeti cooler (provided by ID Wraps in Slatington). The business also offered a grand opening sale on many items.
Co-owner Joe Papay explained that the family owned business started in a barn at his home in 2014. When the business exceeded the space, he expanded to the new location, with his sister Kelly taking on co-ownership as well.
“I am so grateful to live and work in an amazing community. My family and volunteers have been so wonderful with their help to get us up and running,” Papay said. “Our goal is to offer homeowners everything they can imagine for their backyards,” he added.
In addition to offering supplies for homeowners to do their own landscaping, the business also provides extensive hardscape services, landscaping construction, grounds maintenance, in ground pools and much more. Free estimates can be provided for all services.
“I got into landscaping when I was a teenager,” Papay said. “That was my first job. I just liked to be outside and improving places. My dad was a big influence, also. He was really into horticulture.
“Our specialty is our integrity. We put our heart and soul into every project until it’s done right. Our new location is so great! We have lots of work lined up and the community has been showing up to give us business. We are very lucky and grateful.
“We feel we are set apart from other businesses because we can customize to their personal plans and ideas. We are local.”
A Leisure Pools dealer, Papay says they install the best in-ground fiberglass swimming pools on the market today. The business offers complete packages, including rough-cut lumber pavilions and pergolas, paver patios, outdoor kitchens, fencing, sidewalks, landscapes and more.
The supply yard (formerly Rextown Supply/Snyder Supply) is stocked for both homeowners and contractors. With a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to, mulch, sand, decorative stone, dirt, construction stone and more. The business also offers a propane filling station.
Papay Landscape Supply is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon. More information can be found at www.papaypropertymaintenance.com.
