Leonard J. Zubey, a resident of the New England area of Walker Township, became a millionaire on Wednesday when the numbers he selected in the Pennsylvania Super Seven lottery matched those drawn in the 7 o’clock drawing.

Zubey purchased the winning ticket on Tuesday morning at the Lutz News Agency, Tamaqua.

The numbers were, in order, his son’s birthday, 12/7/60, his birthday, 6/16/31, and his old high school football jersey number, 77.

Len’s winnings totaled $1,995,900.14. For the next 26 years, he will receive a check every May in the amount of $36,796.95. That’s $45,996.14, less Uncle Sam’s cut.
