Miss Mary Pispecky of Lansford, the librarian in the Panther Valley School District and former Lansford School District, and a dedicated community worker, has been inducted into the National Honor Society as an honorary member, in recognition of her many deeds.

High school principal Robert Thear explained this is a “first” at Panther Valley for a faculty member.

In the past, Miss Pispecky was an advisor to students aspiring to the honor society. Thear said the induction is consistent with the by-laws of the society, describing Miss Pispecky’s services to the school and community over the years as truly outstanding.”
