The appointment of sewer authority members for Mahoning Township was one of the main items of business when the supervisors met this week.

The sewer authority is not formed officially yet, since an ordinance is required for this, but the members of the board were chosen by the supervisors.

The members and their terms are: Richard Steigerwalt, Lehighton R. 2, five years; Burt Diehl, Lehighton R. 4, four years; Raymond Kuhns, Lehighton R. 5, three years; Paul W. Barachie, Lehighton R. 2, two years; and Raymond Neeb, Lehighton R. 5, one year.

The appointments were made by supervisors John Vanderbeck and Dean DeLong. Supervisor Charles Eidem was absent from the session.
