America’s Grow-a-Row is a 423-acre farm that grows and donates fresh produce to those in need, thanks to thousands of volunteers, donating over 25 million pounds across NJ, NY, PA, and beyond. Volunteer events are 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday and select Thursday evenings from April through mid-November. Join us in feeding our neighbors in need! Locations are in Pittstown or Milford, NJ. Join Eastern PA Down Syndrome Center for the 5th Annual Revolutions for Inclusion Bike Ride, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 8 at the Ironton Rail Trail (Saylor Park). If you are looking for youth volunteering opportunities over the summer, look no further than the Pheobe Nursing Home in Allentown. The summer junior volunteer program is for students 13 years old or have completed 7th grade up to and including rising seniors in high school. Work in the gift shop, help coordinators with activities and programs, or push folks in their wheelchairs outside in the great weather. At least 2 STRONG volunteers are needed to assist at The Whole Life Center, Easton, with unloading food delivery trucks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Weigh each box, help coordinators put food in freezers or fridges, and then reload the remaining boxes back onto the truck for delivery to other pantries and shelters.
