Tamaqua ended regular-season play in dramatic fashion, getting a walk-off grand slam to extend its winning streak to 11 games.

Tri Valley-Tamaqua
Jake Yenser connected for a walk-off grand slam to lift Tamaqua to a 6-3 Schuylkill League victory in the completion of a suspended game.
The two teams, who resumed the contest tied 0-0 in the fourth inning, produced plenty of offense the rest of the way.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the fifth thanks to a three-run homer off the bat of Braeden Doyle.
Tamaqua got two runs back in the sixth on Luke Kane’s double. The Blue Raiders, playing in their regular-season finale, started their seventh-inning rally with two outs. Maximus Najarro singled, Brayden Witkowski walked and Matt Ligenza was intentionally walked to load the bases, setting the stage for Yenser’s dramatic homer.

Panther Valley-Pine Grove
Pine Grove clinched a district playoff berth by gaining a 14-0 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.
Carson Lengle and Braydon Lyons combined on a one-hitter for the Cardinals, who have won four in a row. Lengle tossed the first 3 2/3 innings, allowing a single to PV’s Peter Kruslicky, while striking out seven. Lyons completed the shutout with 1 1/3 innings.
Lengle also drilled a two-run homer for the winners, while Chandler Sirbaugh connected for a three-run dinger. Wyatt Snyder also finished with a pair of hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Mahanoy Area-Panther Valley
Mahanoy Area used a six-run fifth inning to rally for a 7-6 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.
The Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the strength of a Janessa Prudente steal of home, a Mahanoy error and a solo homer by Morgan O’Brien.
The Bears, however, received RBI hits from both Ella Brode and Hailey Mroczka in the fifth, along with a couple of PV errors to take a 7-3 advantage.
The Panthers rallied for single runs over the final three innings, which included an Isabella D’Ancona homer, but came up just short.
