Palmerton High School graduate and current Mansfield University baseball player Cole Serfass was recently selected to the All-PSAC Second Team at the catcher position.
The former Blue Bomber started 34 games and played in 38 this spring while batting .348 (40-for-115) and posting a .449 on-base percentage, placing him in the top 25 in the conference.
Serfass finished second on the team in batting average and RBIs (31). He also scored 24 runs, collected seven doubles and two homers, and finished with a .461 slugging percentage. His OPS was .910, and he had two separate hitting streaks of nine games during the season.
Serfass, a sophomore, has now made the PSAC Second Team in both of his college seasons with the Mountaineers.
Mansfield finished the season 14-31, including a mark of 8-20 in the conference.
