State police at Frackville release information on incidents
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police said an arrest warrant has been issued for Anthony Souchak, 24, of Pottsville, following an incident at 8:11 a.m. April 21 on Coal Street in Middleport.
Police said they responded to a report of harassment at a residence and were told Souchak threatened to kill the residents and burn their house down with the family inside. They said the messages were posted on Facebook Messenger.
• A 31-year-old Hazleton man and a 22-year-old Barnesville man were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a disturbance and noise complaint at 11:02 a.m. May 2 on Grier Avenue, Rush Township.
Police said each man subjected the other to unwanted physical contact.
• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at Church and Valley roads, Cass Township.
They said the mischief happened between 8:25 p.m. April 24 and April 28 when someone damaged a transformer substation owned by Jack Rich Inc., Frackville.
• Police said an unidentified man blew smoke and spit in the face of a 40-year-old Coaldale woman during a neighborhood dispute they were called to at 10:01 a.m. April 25.
The harassment by physical contact incident took place on First Street in the borough, police said.
• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at 8:38 p.m. April 25 on West Water Street, Coaldale.
They said an unknown object struck the windshield of a car. No other information on the incident was provided by police.
• Zachary Skelding, 34, of Morea, was cited for retail theft after police were called to the Walmart store, 35 Plaza Drive, Rush Township (Hometown), at 8:22 a.m. April 20.
Police said it is alleged Skelding stole coffee pods, a flower bouquet and a toy pistol worth a combined $65.39 by using an inaccurate tag at a scanning unit in the store.
• Erik Muelstee, 42, of Shenandoah, is facing drug possession charges after an incident at 12:08 a.m. April 3 at Barnesville and Berkley roads, Ryan Township.
Police said it was determined that he was wanted by state police at Dublin on burglary charges and was taken into custody, after which police found him to be in possession of anabolic steroids/testosterone and hypodermic needles.
