The Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club’s Spring Carnival opens tonight at The Grove in Lehighton.
The three-day event runs through Saturday. Hours are 5-9 p.m. today and Friday, and 2-9 p.m. Saturday.
There will be food, live bands, basket raffles, rides, games, bicycle raffle, vendors and more.
Live music will include Carbon Copies on Thursday; Good Friday on Friday; and DJ Steven Anthony & Bees Knees on Saturday.
Justine Strohl, vice president of the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club, said the event is being held to give back to the Lehighton community.
“All the proceeds go out to different functions,” Strohl said. “We have lots of food and lots of rides. Come out and have some fun, bring your chair, and relax.”
Brenda Green, who also serves as vice president of the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club, took it a step further.
“This is a free event for our community,” Green said. “There is a lot going on for the children and adults.”
Green added that Friday is Kids Day, where ride bracelets can be purchased for $15, and noted that there will be face-paining, games and a bicycle raffle.
She said children can enter the bicycle raffle at 7:15 p.m. Friday at the basket raffle tent.
Green encouraged guests to join them for a fun weekend.
“Profits from this event are used to benefit our community,” she said. “Please help us to help others.”
