Leo Haggerty, East Mauch Chunk, past commander of the Valiant 26 Post, VFW, was elected commander of the Carbon County VFW Council yesterday in Lehighton.

Other officers are Harold Billig, Nesquehoning, senior vice commander; John Coll, Mauch Chunk, junior vice commander; Charlet Peiti, Palmerton, chaplain; Adolph Kreppeneck, Lehighton, quartermaster; and Edgar P. Paulsen, Lehighton, adjutant.

The officers were then installed by Paulsen, who is a past commander of the Eastern County VFW Council.

Michael Yacubuich, Nesquehoning, was in charge of the meeting.
