Deep purple rhododendron and weeping pink blossoms were in bloom recent;y along terraced paths of Kemmerer Park, Jim Thorpe. Brilliant yellow forsythia bushes, however, had run their course for the season. The park is a remaining feature of what once was the mansion of Mahlon Kemmerer, coal industrialist.
